Operating
Systems
There
are quite a few operating systems out there and not all
of them support Gigasampler or have anticipated support
in the near future. Here's a listing of what works and what
doesn't, and the common problems and limitations associated
with each operating system:
Windows
95
 |
Supported.
Limitations of the Windows 95 OS include MIDI port limitations
of 10 ports (plus 1 pseudo port). Note: Port limitation
is an OS issue, not an issue caused by Gigasampler. |
Windows
98/SE
 |
Supported.
Limitations of the Windows 98 OS include MIDI port limitations
of 15 ports (plus 1 pseudo port). Likely a better solution
than Windows 95 for those of you who need more than
10 active ports on your machine. Note: Port limitation
is an OS issue, not an issue caused by Gigasampler.
Certain audio cards with primitive drivers may behave
differently (or not work at all) with Gigasampler under
Windows 98 SE as compared to Windows 95 and Windows
98. |
